Public Bus
From downtown Houston, walk to the Main Street Square station and catch the METRO Bus 40 towards 'Crosby'. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop 'Fairway Dr @ Woodridge' (about 10 stops). From there, transfer to Bus 88 towards 'Airport'. Ride for another 15 minutes and get off at 'Botanic Lane @ 1 Botanic Lane'. The Houston Botanic Garden will be directly in front of you.
Light Rail
Make your way to the Main Street MetroRail Line and take the train southbound towards 'NRG Park'. After about 15 minutes, get off at 'Smithlands' station. From there, transfer to Bus 40 (Crosby) at the nearby bus stop. Ride for approximately 10 minutes and disembark at 'Fairway Dr @ Woodridge'. Finally, switch to Bus 88 towards 'Airport'. After 15 minutes, get off at 'Botanic Lane @ 1 Botanic Lane'. The garden will be right in front of you.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental services in Houston. Start by heading to the Houston Bayou Trails, and follow the trail southeast towards the Houston Botanic Garden. The route will take you along the scenic bayou, and approximately 30 minutes of cycling will lead you directly to the entrance at 1 Botanic Lane.

If you are staying nearby, you can walk to the Houston Botanic Garden. Head towards 1 Botanic Lane, and follow the pedestrian-friendly sidewalks. It will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your starting location. Be sure to check local maps for the best pedestrian routes.
