Metro
If you're near the downtown area, you can take the METRO Rail's Red Line from any of the downtown stations. Board the train heading towards the Northline Transit Center. Stay on the train until you reach the 'TMC Transit Center' station. Exit the train here, and from the station, head south on Fannin Street for about 5 minutes until you reach the Japanese Garden at 6000 Fannin St.
Bus
You can also take the METRO bus service to get to the Japanese Garden. Look for Bus 25 which runs from various points in Houston. Make sure to board the bus going towards the 'TMC Transit Center'. Once you get off at the 'Fannin St @ Holcombe Blvd' stop, walk south along Fannin Street for about 3 minutes to reach the Japanese Garden at 6000 Fannin St.
Bicycle or Walking
If you are staying nearby in the Medical Center area, you can easily walk to the Japanese Garden. Simply head south on Fannin Street from your hotel or accommodation. It is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your starting point. Follow the street until you see the entrance to the Japanese Garden on your left at 6000 Fannin St. Alternatively, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services and ride along Fannin Street.
Rideshare
For a more direct route, you can use rideshare services like Uber or Lyft. Simply enter '6000 Fannin St, Houston, TX 77030' as your destination in the app. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the Japanese Garden. Make sure to check the estimated time of arrival based on your current location in Houston.
