Getting There

• Metro Rail

  To reach McGovern Centennial Gardens at 1500 Hermann Dr, start at the nearest Metro Rail station to your location. If you are in downtown Houston, head to the Main Street Square Station. Board the Green Line train towards the NRG Park. After approximately 12 minutes, get off at the Museum District Station. From there, walk south on Montrose Blvd for about 5 minutes until you reach Hermann Dr. Turn left onto Hermann Dr, and you will see McGovern Centennial Gardens on your right.

• Bus

  If you are near a bus stop, check the METRO bus routes to find one that goes to Hermann Park. For example, take the 65 bus from the nearest stop, which will take you directly to the Hermann Park area. After getting off the bus, walk towards 1500 Hermann Dr. The gardens are located within Hermann Park, which is easily accessible from the bus stop.

For example, if you are at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, head south on Binz St until you reach Montrose Blvd. Turn left and walk on Montrose Blvd until you reach Hermann Dr. Turn right onto Hermann Dr, and after a short walk, you will see the entrance to McGovern Centennial Gardens on your left.
