Getting There

    From the heart of The Heights, start by heading south on Heights Blvd. Walk towards W 19th St and turn right. Continue until you reach Yale St. Turn left onto Yale St and walk south. Shortly after, you will hit Allen Parkway. Cross Allen Parkway at the crosswalk and continue walking straight. You will notice a large park on your right side; that’s Buffalo Bayou Park. Continue walking until you reach Sabine St. Turn right onto Sabine St, and the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern will be located at 105-B Sabine St, accessible on your left. The entire walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    If you prefer to take public transport, walk to the nearest bus stop on Heights Blvd @ 19th St. Board the METRO Bus 50 (the 'Woodland Heights' route) heading south. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop at Allen Parkway @ Sabine St. From there, walk north on Sabine St for approximately 5 minutes, and you will reach the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern at 105-B Sabine St. The bus fare is $1.25.
