    Public Transit

    From Irving, head to the nearest DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) station, which is the 'Irving Convention Center Station'. Board the DART Orange Line train towards 'Parker Road'. Stay on the train for approximately 30 minutes and get off at 'West End Station'. From there, transfer to the DART Bus Route 3 towards 'Cedar Crest'. You will ride the bus for about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to '650 S R.L. Thornton Fwy', and walk a short distance to reach the Dallas Zoo.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing stations in Irving. Start at the 'Irving Arts Center' and take the bike path towards the south, following the signs for the DART bike trail. Continue biking for about 8 miles towards the Dallas Zoo. Once you reach the zoo, there are bike racks available for parking your bicycle safely.

    Walking

    If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, start at the 'Irving City Hall' and head south towards 'N O'Connor Rd'. Walk down 'N O'Connor Rd' until you reach 'W 6th St', then take a left. Continue until you hit 'S R.L. Thornton Fwy' and follow the pedestrian crossings to the zoo entrance. This route is approximately 10 miles and will take you around 2-3 hours depending on your pace.
