Public Bus
Begin your journey at the Texas Tech University campus by walking to the nearest bus stop. The 'University Avenue & 15th Street' stop is a good option and is located just a short walk from many buildings on campus. From here, board the Citibus Route 7, which heads toward the American Windmill Museum. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus stop at 'Canyon Lake & 19th Street', disembark and walk about 0.5 miles north along Canyon Lake Drive to reach the museum. Please ensure you have a bus fare of $1.00 ready for your trip.

Bicycle Rental
If you're comfortable cycling, consider renting a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations around Texas Tech University. Once you have a bike, head north on University Avenue, and then take a left onto 19th Street. Continue until you reach Canyon Lake Drive, where you will turn right. The American Windmill Museum will be on your left after about 1.5 miles. The bike ride will take roughly 15-20 minutes. Make sure to check the rental rates, which generally are around $5 for a day.

If you prefer to walk, head north from the Texas Tech campus towards 19th Street. Walk along 19th Street for about 1.5 miles until you reach Canyon Lake Drive. Turn left on Canyon Lake Drive, and you will find the American Windmill Museum on your left after approximately a 0.5-mile walk. The entire walking distance is about 2 miles and should take around 40-50 minutes, depending on your pace. Enjoy the architecture and scenery along the way!
