Getting There

• Car

  From McKinney Falls State Park, exit the park and head southwest on McKinney Falls Parkway toward US-183. Merge onto US-183 N and continue for about 5 miles. Take the exit for Riverside Drive and turn left onto Riverside Drive. Continue straight until you reach S Lakeshore Blvd. Turn right onto S Lakeshore Blvd, and you will find The Boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake on your left at 1820 S Lakeshore Blvd, Austin, TX 78741.

  From McKinney Falls State Park, you will first need to reach the nearest bus stop. Walk to the intersection of McKinney Falls Parkway and US-183. Catch the Capital Metro Bus Route 20 heading north towards downtown Austin. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Riverside Drive and S Lakeshore Blvd stop. From there, it is a short walk west on Riverside Drive, then turn left onto S Lakeshore Blvd. The Boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake will be on your left at 1820 S Lakeshore Blvd, Austin, TX 78741. Note that bus fares typically cost around $1.25 per trip, and you may need a valid transit pass.

  If you enjoy biking, you can bike from McKinney Falls State Park to The Boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake. Exit the park and head southwest on McKinney Falls Parkway. Continue to Riverside Drive, where you can find a bike lane. Follow Riverside Drive toward S Lakeshore Blvd. The ride is approximately 5 miles and should take about 25-30 minutes.
