Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from any location within Padre Island National Seashore and head north on Park Road 22. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with State Highway 361. Turn right onto State Highway 361 and continue driving for approximately 3.5 miles. Look for signs indicating Packery Channel Park. The park entrance will be on your left at 14218 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78418. There is no entrance fee for the park.

• Public Transportation

  As of the latest information, public transportation options are limited in this area. However, you can take the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) bus service. Board the bus at any CCRTA bus stop in Corpus Christi and take Route 3 (South Padre Island). This route will take you towards Padre Island. Disembark at the nearest stop to State Highway 361 and S Padre Island Dr. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Packery Channel Park. Keep in mind that you may need to check the current bus schedule for timing and frequency.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike to Packery Channel Park, ensure you have a bicycle with you. You can cycle along the scenic routes available in Padre Island National Seashore. Head towards State Highway 361 from Park Road 22 and follow the bike lanes. The park is approximately 3.5 miles from the seashore entrance. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all local cycling regulations for safety.
