Getting There

  • Public Bus

    Start at the Tyler Transit Center located at 210 E Oakwood St, Tyler, TX 75702. Board the 'Route 2' bus towards 'South Tyler'. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes and get off at the 'Tyler State Park' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the main entrance of Tyler State Park at 789 Park Rd 16.

  • Bicycle

    Begin your journey at the Tyler Square, located at the intersection of E Ferguson St and N Broadway Ave. Head north on N Broadway Ave for about 1 mile, then turn right onto W Loop 323. Continue for approximately 4 miles until you reach the intersection with TX-110 N. Turn left onto TX-110 N and follow it for about 5 miles. Turn left onto Park Rd 16, and the park entrance will be on your right.

    If you're near the downtown area, start at the Tyler Public Library on S Broadway Ave. Walk north on S Broadway Ave for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with E 5th St. Turn left onto E 5th St and walk until you reach S Baxter Ave. Turn right onto S Baxter Ave and continue straight until you reach the entrance of Tyler State Park, approximately 6 miles ahead. This walk may take around 2 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes.
