    If you're in downtown Waco, start at the Waco Convention Center located at 100 Washington Ave, Waco, TX 76701. Head northwest on Washington Ave towards 4th St. Turn left onto 4th St and continue for about 0.3 miles. You will pass by the Waco City Hall on your left. Next, turn right onto Austin Ave and walk straight for about 1 mile. Darwin the Gorilla is located at 3429 Austin Ave, which will be on your left side. Look for the large gorilla statue in front of the building.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From the Waco Transit System bus stop at 3rd St and Austin Ave, take the Route 2 bus heading towards South Waco. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the Austin Ave and 34th St stop. From there, walk south on Austin Ave for about 0.2 miles. Darwin the Gorilla will be located at 3429 Austin Ave on your right. You cannot miss the striking gorilla statue at the location.

    If you have access to a bike, start at the McLennan Community College located at 1400 College Dr, Waco, TX 76708. Head south on College Dr towards Waco Dr. Turn left onto Waco Dr and follow it for about 0.5 miles, then turn right onto Austin Ave. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach Darwin the Gorilla at 3429 Austin Ave, which will be on your left side. There are bike racks available near the location for parking your bike.
