Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from anywhere in West Texas, you will want to get onto the I-20 East. Continue on I-20 for about 500 miles until you reach Dallas. Once in Dallas, take exit 47B to merge onto I-30 East toward Little Rock. Continue on I-30 for about 3 miles, then take exit 48A to merge onto US-75 North toward McKinney. After about 2 miles, take exit 1B for US-67 South toward Cleburne. Follow the signs for I-45 South and merge onto I-45. Take exit 47B for Exposition Avenue. Follow Exposition Avenue for about a mile, and you will find the State Fair of Texas - Texas State Historical Marker on your right. Parking may be available nearby, but be prepared to pay a parking fee, which can vary depending on the time of day and events happening nearby.

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus from various locations in West Texas to Dallas. Once in Dallas, use the DART Light Rail system. Board the Green Line at the West End Station heading towards Fair Park Station. This ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Fair Park Station, exit the train and walk approximately 0.5 miles along Exposition Avenue to reach the State Fair of Texas - Texas State Historical Marker. Make sure to check the DART website for ticket prices and schedules, as fares may vary.
