Bangkok Yai Local Canal Tour with Longtail Boat

5 star Experience

The Bangkok Yai local canal longboat tour was one of the most unique experiences of my trip. We booked a private longboat, which made the experience feel relaxed and personalized without the crowds. The tour lasted about 2 hours, which was the perfect amount of time to explore the canals while learning about the local history and way of life. Cruising through the peaceful waterways offered a completely different perspective of Bangkok. We passed beautiful temples, traditional wooden homes built along the canals, local markets, and neighborhoods you wouldn’t normally see as a tourist. There were plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos and simply enjoy the scenery. For the experience you get, I thought the pricing was very reasonable and well worth it, especially for a private tour. If you’re looking to escape the busy city and experience a quieter, more authentic side of Bangkok, I highly recommend this longboat tour. It was relaxing, memorable, and one of the highlights of my visit.

Coral Island Pattaya Tour from Bangkok with Speedboat and Lunch

Bring cash, enjoy the beach!

This was a nice beach trip! We didn't parasail or do the banana boats, but I did the undersea walk and it was really cool. The tour operators give very clear safety instructions and there are professional divers helping you along the whole time. We enjoyed sitting on the beach and wading in the surf too. We got the Thai lunch, and it was just "okay." It was a bit bland, especially for Thai food. Here's a tip: make sure you have plenty of cash. Most of the shops along the beach only take cash and the water activities are much cheaper if you pay in cash.
