If you are in the Rattanakosin area, you can easily walk to Phra Sumen Fort. Start at the Democracy Monument on Ratchadamnoen Avenue. Head east along Ratchadamnoen Avenue for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach Phra Athit Road. Turn left onto Phra Athit Road and continue walking for about 300 meters. You will see Phra Sumen Fort on your right, situated near the Chao Phraya River.

Tuk-tuk
For a fun and unique experience, you can take a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Rattanakosin. Simply hail a tuk-tuk and tell the driver you want to go to Phra Sumen Fort (บอกคนขับว่าไปที่ป้อมพระสุเมรุ). The fare should be around 30-100 Thai Baht, depending on your starting location. The driver will take you directly to the fort, which is easily recognizable due to its historical architecture.

If you are near the Chao Phraya River, you can take a riverboat to get closer to Phra Sumen Fort. Look for the Chao Phraya Express Boat service. Get off at the Phra Athit Pier (ท่าเรือพระอาทิตย์). From the pier, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the fort. Head east along Phra Athit Road, and you will see the fort ahead. The boat fare ranges from 15 to 40 Thai Baht based on the distance traveled.
