Walking
If you are in the center of Chiang Rai, start at the Chiang Rai Clock Tower, a well-known landmark. Head east on Phaholyothin Road towards the river. After about 800 meters, you will reach the Mae Kok River. Turn left and walk along the riverbank. You will soon see signage leading to the Riverway walking and cycling path. The path starts near WQ9V+MQW, Unnamed Road, where you can enjoy scenic views of the river and surrounding greenery.

For cyclists starting from the Chiang Rai Night Bazaar, head south on the main road towards Phaholyothin Road. Turn left onto Phaholyothin and continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Mae Kok River. You can rent a bicycle near the Night Bazaar. Once you reach the river, look for the signs indicating the Riverway cycling path, which will lead you along the riverbanks and provide a relaxing cycling experience.
