Getting There

Walking
If you are in the center of Chiang Rai, start at the clock tower, a well-known landmark. From there, head north on Phaholyothin Road for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Jetyod Road. Turn left onto Jetyod Road and continue for another 400 meters. You will see Wat Phra Sing on your right, just past the intersection with Soi 2.

Find a songthaew stop, which are common throughout Chiang Rai. You can catch a songthaew heading towards Wiang, Mueang Chiang Rai District. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Wat Phra Sing. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. You will be dropped off near the entrance of the temple.
