Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. Drive along the main road leading towards Doi Suthep Temple, but do not turn towards the temple. Instead, continue on the road past the temple area. After about 20 minutes of driving, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork that leads to Lan Khwai Yim. Follow this road for about 5 minutes until you see a sign for Birds Watching. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to arrive early as spaces can fill up quickly.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the Chiang Mai Old City and find a songthaew (red truck taxi) that goes to Doi Suthep. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to the Birds Watching area. The fare is typically around 30-50 THB per person. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you reach the main entrance of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, you may need to walk or hire a local guide to take you to the specific Birds Watching location, which is about a 15-minute walk from the main road.

If you prefer a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle from Chiang Mai and cycling to Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. The ride is challenging and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your fitness level.
