Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Bangkok, take Highway 1 (Phahonyothin Road) towards Chonburi. Continue on Highway 7 (Bangkok-Chonburi Motorway) until you reach the exit for Highway 3 (Sukhumvit Road) heading towards Chanthaburi. After about 150 kilometers on Highway 3, you will reach Chanthaburi. From Chanthaburi, follow Route 317 to Kaeng Hang Maeo District. Look for signs for Khao Sip Ha Chan National Park as you near the area. The park entrance is located at approximately 52G3+X25, Khun Chong, Kaeng Hang Maeo District, Chanthaburi 22160. There are no tolls on this route, but be aware of fuel costs.

  • Public Bus

    From Bangkok, you can take a bus from the Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai) to Chanthaburi. The journey takes around 4-5 hours. Once you arrive at Chanthaburi Bus Terminal, you will need to catch a local minivan or songthaew to Kaeng Hang Maeo District. The fare for the minivan is approximately 50-100 THB. Upon reaching Kaeng Hang Maeo, you can hire a taxi or motorbike taxi to take you to Khao Sip Ha Chan National Park, which is about 20 kilometers away. The taxi fare should be around 200-300 THB.

  • Train

    Take a train from Bangkok to Chanthaburi. However, note that there is no direct train station in Chanthaburi itself. You would need to take a train to the nearest station in Trat and then take a bus or taxi to Chanthaburi. From Chanthaburi, follow the same instructions as in the public bus section to reach Khao Sip Ha Chan National Park. Train ticket prices can vary from 300-600 THB depending on the class and timing.

  • Taxi Service

    If you prefer a more convenient option, you can book a taxi service from your location in Eastern Thailand directly to Khao Sip Ha Chan National Park. This is the most comfortable option but also the most expensive, with fares ranging from 1,500 to 3,000 THB depending on your starting point.
