From Chaweng Beach, head to the main road (Chaweng Beach Road). Look for a songthaew (shared taxi) heading towards Lamai. The fare is usually around 50-100 THB. Get off at the Lamai Beach area and walk towards the hill where Lamai Viewpoint is located, following the signs.
Taxi
If you are in the Bophut area, you can easily find a taxi or use a ride-hailing app. Simply tell the driver to take you to Lamai Viewpoint, located at 127, 199, Maret, Ko Samui. It takes about 30 minutes from Bophut, and the fare should be around 300-400 THB. The driver will take you directly to the viewpoint entrance.
Walking
If you are staying close to Lamai Beach, you can walk to Lamai Viewpoint. Start on Lamai Beach Road heading south. Look for signs directing you to the viewpoint. It's a hike uphill, and you should allocate about 30-45 minutes to reach the top. The path is well-marked, and you'll enjoy scenic views along the way.
Motorbike Rental
For those adventurous tourists, consider renting a motorbike. You can rent one from numerous shops in Lamai or Chaweng. Drive towards Maret, following the main road. Once you reach Maret, look for signs to Lamai Viewpoint. The ride is about 10-15 minutes, and you can park near the entrance. Remember to wear a helmet and drive safely!
