Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Maenam, head east towards the beach road (Route 4169). Once you reach the beach, turn left (north) and walk along the road for about 1 km until you see Soi 2 on your right. Turn into Soi 2 and continue walking for approximately 300 meters. Look for the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Samui on your left at 141/53 Moo 3. The total walking distance is about 1.3 km and should take around 15-20 minutes.

  • Songthaew (Shared Taxi)

    You can catch a Songthaew from any major location in Maenam, especially near the main road. Simply wave at the passing Songthaews heading towards Bophut or Nathon, and ask the driver to drop you off at Soi 2 near the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. The fare is typically around 30-50 THB, depending on your starting point. Once you reach Soi 2, walk about 300 meters to the sanctuary located at 141/53 Moo 3.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer a more active option, consider renting a bicycle from a local shop in Maenam. Cycle along Route 4169 heading towards the beach, then turn left at the beach. Continue for about 1 km, then turn into Soi 2. The sanctuary will be on your left after about 300 meters. Bicycle rentals usually cost around 100-200 THB for a day.
