Motorbike Rental
To reach Cape Ja Te Kang, the most convenient way is to rent a motorbike. You can find motorbike rental shops in the main areas of Koh Tao, such as Sairee Beach or Mae Haad. The rental cost typically ranges from 200 to 300 THB per day. Once you have your motorbike, head southeast from Sairee Beach, following signs towards Chalok Baan Kao. Continue on the main road until you reach a fork; take the road heading towards the east. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Cape Ja Te Kang. The journey should take around 15-20 minutes.
Taxi or Songthaew
If you prefer not to ride a motorbike, you can take a taxi or songthaew (a shared pickup truck) from any location in Koh Tao. You can find these taxis near popular beaches like Sairee Beach or Chalok Baan Kao. Agree on a fare before you start your journey; it should cost around 100-150 THB per person. Ask the driver to take you to Cape Ja Te Kang. The drive will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.
Walking from Nearby Locations
If you are staying near Chalok Baan Kao or Sai Nuan Beach, you can opt for a scenic walk to Cape Ja Te Kang. From Chalok Baan Kao, head towards the southern end of the beach and follow the coastal path. The walk is about 1.5 kilometers and will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Ensure you have proper footwear, as some parts of the path can be rocky and steep.
