Getting There
Car
If you are driving a car, head towards the west coast of Koh Tao. Start from the main road (Sairee Beach road) and follow the signs to 'West Coast Viewpoint'. The drive will take approximately 15 minutes. Look out for the turn-off towards the viewpoint; it is well-marked. The last part of the road is a bit steep and may require careful navigation. There is no parking fee, but ensure to park in designated areas.
Scooter
Rent a scooter from one of the many rental shops in Sairee Beach or nearby areas. Follow Sairee Beach road towards the west coast. The journey will take around 15 minutes. Watch for the sign indicating West Coast Viewpoint, and be prepared for a steep incline as you get closer. Parking is available at the viewpoint without any extra costs.
Songthaew (shared taxi)
Catch a Songthaew from your location around Koh Tao. These shared taxis run regularly and can be hailed on the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to West Coast Viewpoint. The fare is usually around 100-150 THB per person, depending on your starting point. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The Songthaew will drop you off at the base of the viewpoint, and you may have to walk a short distance uphill to reach the lookout.
Walking
If you are located near the west coast, such as from Sai Nuan Beach or similar, you can hike to the West Coast Viewpoint. The trail is marked and offers stunning views along the way. The hike will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your fitness level. It's advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the path can be steep and uneven.
