Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Chiang Mai city, take Highway 108 south towards Hang Dong. Continue on Highway 108 for about 45 kilometers until you reach the junction with Highway 1009. Turn left onto Highway 1009 and follow it for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Doi Inthanon National Park. There is an entrance fee of approximately 300 THB per vehicle. After entering the park, continue driving for about 12 kilometers to reach the summit where the Royal Pagodas are located. Parking is available near the pagodas.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Royal Pagodas using public transportation, start from Chiang Mai's Arcade Bus Station. Take a bus heading to Chomthong, which costs around 50-70 THB. After reaching Chomthong, hire a local songthaew (shared taxi) to take you to Doi Inthanon National Park for approximately 300-400 THB. The songthaew will take you to the summit, where the pagodas are located. Please note that the songthaew may require a minimum number of passengers to depart, so be prepared for potential waiting times.
