If you're driving, start from the center of Chiang Mai and head west on Huay Kaew Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Suthep Road. Turn right onto Suthep Road and follow it for about 3 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Wat Pansao, which is located on the left side of the road. There is limited parking available near the temple.

Public Transportation (Songthaew)
To reach Wat Pansao via public transport, take a red songthaew (shared taxi) from the old city area of Chiang Mai. You can catch a songthaew near Thapae Gate. Tell the driver you want to go to Wat Pansao. The fare is usually around 30-50 THB per person. The driver will drop you off close to the temple, from where it’s a short walk to the entrance.

Another option is to hire a tuk-tuk from the old town. Negotiate the fare before you start your journey; it should cost around 100-150 THB one way. The tuk-tuk will take you directly to Wat Pansao, allowing you to enjoy the scenic views along the way.

If you are already near the university or the Suthep area, you can walk to Wat Pansao. From Chiang Mai University, head south on Nimmanhaemin Road, then turn right onto Suthep Road. Walk approximately 15-20 minutes until you see the temple on your left. Be prepared for a bit of uphill walking.
