Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at your accommodation in Mae Hong Son. Head towards the main road (Rte 108) and look for the local bus station. From there, take a 'songthaew' (shared taxi) heading to Pai. The journey should take about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Pai, you can either walk or take another songthaew to Pai Canyon. If walking, head north on Rte 1095 for about 2 kilometers until you reach the signs for Pai Canyon. It's well-marked and you will see the entrance on your left.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle in Mae Hong Son and cycle towards Pai. Follow Rte 108 until you reach Pai, which is about 40 kilometers away. The route is scenic but hilly, so be prepared for a workout! Once in Pai, there are bike-friendly paths leading to Pai Canyon. It’s approximately a 10-minute ride from the town center to the canyon entrance.

  • Motorbike

    If you prefer more speed, rent a motorbike in Mae Hong Son. Head north on Rte 108 and continue until you reach Pai. This ride takes roughly 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Pai, follow the signs to Pai Canyon. It's a straightforward ride of about 8 kilometers from Pai town center to the canyon.
