To reach Nam Lod Cave from the center of Mae Hong Son, find a local songthaew (shared taxi) at the main bus station or along the streets near the market. Inform the driver that you want to go to Tham Lot Cave (Nam Lod Cave). The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. The songthaew will drop you off at the entrance of the cave area.

If you're comfortable riding a motorbike, you can rent one from various shops in Mae Hong Son. Start at the Mae Hong Son city center and head northwest on Rte. 108. Continue for about 26 kilometers until you see signs for Tham Lot Cave. Turn left onto the side road that leads directly to the cave entrance. The total ride should take approximately 40 minutes.
