Be sure to have a GPS or a map application to assist with the final navigation since the waterfall is located in a more remote area.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Chiang Mai to Lampang. The bus ride takes approximately 2-3 hours. Once in Lampang, you will need to take a local songthaew (shared taxi) or a tuk-tuk to Ngao District. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kao Fu Waterfall, and they will likely know the location. Expect to pay around 300-500 THB for the songthaew ride depending on your negotiation skills and the distance. The final stretch to the waterfall may require a short hike, so be prepared for that.
