Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Phetchabun. Head northeast on Route 21 (Phahonyothin Road) towards Dan Sai. After approximately 50 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Phu Thap Buek. You’ll turn onto Route 2013 towards Kok Sathon. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the base of Phu Thap Buek. From there, a winding road will lead you almost to the top. Parking is available near the viewpoint, but make sure to arrive early, especially on weekends.
Bus/Public Transportation
For those using public transport, head to the bus terminal in Phetchabun. Look for buses heading to Dan Sai. The journey takes about 1.5 hours and costs approximately 50-70 THB. Once in Dan Sai, hire a local songthaew (shared taxi) or a tuk-tuk to take you to Phu Thap Buek. This ride should take around 30 minutes and may cost around 200-300 THB, depending on negotiation.
Motorbike
If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a motorbike in Phetchabun. Follow the same route as when driving a car, heading northeast on Route 21 towards Dan Sai. The journey is about 50 kilometers, which can be quite scenic. Ensure you have a valid driving license and wear a helmet for safety. Parking is available near the viewpoint.
Taxi
Another convenient option is to hire a taxi from Phetchabun directly to Phu Thap Buek. This will be more expensive, with fares ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 THB for a round trip, but it’s ideal for those who prefer a direct and hassle-free journey.
