Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main road in the Phi Pan Nam Range area. Head towards Wiang Pa Pao on Route 118, which will take you north. Continue on Route 118 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Khun Chae National Park, which is located at 118, Mae Chedi Mai, Wiang Pa Pao District, Chiang Rai 57260. Keep an eye out for the park signage along the way.
Public Bus
For public transportation, take a bus from the nearest town to your location in Phi Pan Nam Range to Wiang Pa Pao. Buses run regularly, and the fare is usually around 50-70 THB. Once you arrive at Wiang Pa Pao, you can hire a local songthaew (shared taxi) or motorcycle taxi to take you directly to Khun Chae National Park for about 30-40 THB. Make sure to confirm the drop-off point at the park entrance with the driver.
Motorcycle Rental
If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a motorcycle. Many rental shops in the Phi Pan Nam Range area offer daily rentals for around 150-300 THB. Follow the same route as described for cars, taking Route 118 towards Wiang Pa Pao. The journey should take about 45 minutes. Ensure you wear a helmet and drive safely, as the roads can be winding.
