Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from central Chiang Mai, start by heading east on Route 118 (Chiang Mai-Lamphun Road). After approximately 20 km, take the exit toward Route 121 (Chiang Mai-Sankampaeng Road). Continue on Route 121 for about 10 km. As you approach Mae On District, look for signs indicating San Kamphaeng Hot Springs. The hot springs are located at 1, Ban Sa Ha Khon, Mae On District, Chiang Mai 50130. Ensure you have GPS or a navigation app as you get closer for the best directions. Parking is available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  To reach San Kamphaeng Hot Springs via public transportation, take a songthaew (shared taxi) from Chiang Mai. You can catch one at the Chang Puak bus station or near the old city area. Ask the driver for 'San Kamphaeng Hot Springs' to ensure they know your destination. The fare is typically around 40-60 THB per person. The ride will take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you will need to walk a short distance to the entrance of the hot springs.

• Motorbike Rental

  For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Chiang Mai. This will allow you to explore the area at your own pace. After renting, head east on Route 118 and follow the same directions as for driving. Be cautious of traffic and road conditions. Make sure to wear a helmet and have your driver's license with you. The rental cost is usually around 200-400 THB per day. Parking is available at the hot springs.
