If you are traveling by car, start from Chaweng Beach. Head northwest on Route 4169 towards Mae Nam. Continue on Route 4169 for approximately 13 kilometers. You will pass through picturesque villages and lush landscapes. Once you reach Mae Nam, look for signs directing you towards Bang Po Beach. The beach is located at HWHP+7Q2, Mae Nam. There is parking available near the beach, but note that some areas may require a small fee.
Public Transportation (Songthaew)
To reach Bang Po Beach using public transportation, find a Songthaew (shared taxi) heading to Na Thon. You can catch one from various points in Samui, such as Chaweng or Lamai. The fare should be around 50-100 THB depending on your starting point. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Bang Po Beach. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the beach area, you may need to walk a short distance to find the best spots along the shoreline.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, hire a taxi from your current location. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey; typically, it should range from 300 to 600 THB depending on where you're coming from. Provide the driver with the address HWHP+7Q2, Mae Nam, Ko Samui District. The drive should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Motorbike Rental
For the more adventurous, renting a motorbike is an excellent way to explore the island and reach Bang Po Beach. Rental shops are plentiful in areas like Chaweng and Lamai, with rates starting around 200 THB per day. From Chaweng, head northwest on Route 4169 towards Mae Nam. Follow the road for about 13 kilometers until you see signs for Bang Po Beach. Make sure to wear a helmet and drive safely, as the roads can be steep and winding.
