Boat
From Samut Prakan, head to the nearest pier that operates boat services to Bangkok. One option is to go to the Phra Samut Chedi Pier. You can take a local tuk-tuk or motorcycle taxi to the pier. Once at the pier, board a boat heading towards the central part of Bangkok. You will want to get off at the Tha Phrachan Pier, which is located near the Grand Palace. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Museum Siam. Head east along Sanam Chai Road until you reach the museum on your left.
Bus
Catch a local bus from Samut Prakan to Bangkok. Look for bus number 511 or 25 which operates frequently. The bus will take you to the Victory Monument area. Once there, transfer to bus number 1 or 3 towards Sanam Luang. Alight at the Sanam Chai stop, then walk east along Sanam Chai Road for about 10 minutes until you reach Museum Siam.
Tuk-tuk
You can also hire a tuk-tuk directly from your location in Samut Prakan. Agree on a fare with the driver before you set off. Ask the driver to take you to Museum Siam located at 4 Sanam Chai Rd, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok. The journey may take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure to have some cash ready as tuk-tuks typically don’t accept card payments.
Train
Take the BTS Skytrain from Samut Prakan to the nearest BTS station, which is Bang Na. From there, take the Sukhumvit Line towards Mo Chit. Change at Siam station to the Silom Line and head towards Bang Wa. Alight at Sala Daeng station and transfer to the MRT at Sam Yan station. Finally, take the MRT to Hua Lamphong station and exit towards the street. From Hua Lamphong, you can catch a tuk-tuk or walk along the nearby roads to reach Museum Siam.
