Boat
From Surat Thani, head to the Surat Thani Pier (also known as Nathon Pier). You can take a local tuk-tuk or songthaew (shared taxi) to get there, which should take around 15 minutes from the city center. Once at the pier, purchase a ticket for a boat heading to Ko Lamphu. The boat ride typically takes about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule in advance, as ferry times can vary.
Public Transport
If you prefer not to take a boat, you can take a bus or songthaew to Bang Bai Mai. From Surat Thani's main bus terminal, look for buses or songthaews heading towards Bang Bai Mai. The ride will take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Bang Bai Mai, ask locals for directions to the nearest access point to Ko Lamphu, which is located in the vicinity. There may be small boats available for hire to take you to the island.
