Start at the Surat Thani Bus Terminal, located on Phunphin Road. Purchase a ticket for a local bus heading towards the city center. The fare is usually around 20-30 THB. The bus ride will take about 20-30 minutes. Get off at the last stop in the city center, near the Surat Thani Night Market.
Walking
From the Surat Thani Night Market, walk east on Chonkasem Road. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several local shops and restaurants. Wat Tham Bucha is located on your left at 143 1 Chonkasem Rd. Look for the distinctive entrance which has traditional Thai architectural features.
Tuk-Tuk
Once you are at the Surat Thani Night Market, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you to Wat Tham Bucha. Negotiate the fare before starting the trip; it should cost around 100-150 THB. The journey will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to show the driver the address: 143 1 Chonkasem Rd, Talat, Mueang Surat Thani District.
