From Trat town center, head to the main bus station located on Chao Fa Road. Look for a songthaew (a shared pick-up truck) heading towards Koh Chang. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to get off at Salak Phet. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. The driver will drop you off near the entrance to Wat Salak Phet. From there, it’s a short walk to the temple.

Motorcycle Taxi
If you're in Trat town and prefer a quicker option, you can hire a motorcycle taxi. Find a motorcycle taxi stand, which is usually located near markets or busy streets. Negotiate the fare (it should be around 100-150 THB) and tell the rider you want to go to Wat Salak Phet in Koh Chang. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes, and the rider will drop you off right at the temple entrance.

Bicycle
For the more adventurous, renting a bicycle in Trat town is a great option. Head towards the pier area, where many bicycle rental shops are located. Rent a bicycle for the day (typically around 50-100 THB). From Trat, cycle to the ferry terminal at Laem Ngop, which is about 25 km away. Take the ferry to Koh Chang (ferry fees apply). Once on Koh Chang, follow the signs towards Salak Phet. It’s approximately a 10 km ride from the ferry terminal to the temple.
