If you are driving, start from the entrance of Abuko Nature Reserve. Head east on the main road toward Serrekunda. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto the route heading towards Serrekunda. After about 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Monkey Forest on your left. Turn left onto the dirt road and follow it for about 500 meters. You will arrive at Monkey Forest, which is located at C7JC+4HJ, Serrekunda.
Public Transportation (Taxi)
To reach Monkey Forest by taxi, find a taxi near the entrance of Abuko Nature Reserve. Inform the driver that you want to go to Monkey Forest in Serrekunda. The fare should be around 100-200 GMD (Gambian Dalasi) depending on your negotiation with the driver. The driver will take you directly to the location at C7JC+4HJ, Serrekunda.
Public Transportation (Bush Taxi)
If you prefer to use a bush taxi, walk to the nearest bush taxi stop from Abuko Nature Reserve. These are usually found along main roads. Take a bush taxi heading to Serrekunda. The fare is typically around 30-50 GMD. After getting off in Serrekunda, ask locals for directions to Monkey Forest, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the main road. Look for the sign directing you toward Monkey Forest.
