Getting There

    From the center of Banjul, head east towards the Albert Market. Once you reach the market, take a left onto Liberation Avenue and continue until you reach the junction with the A1 highway. Cross the road carefully, and then follow the signs for Serrekunda. Continue walking straight along the A1 for about 3 kilometers. You will pass by various local shops and cafes. Once you reach the Serrekunda area, look for the signs indicating Bijilo National Park. It is located slightly off the main road, so keep an eye out for the entrance, which should be to your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Banjul and cycle towards the Albert Market. From there, head onto Liberation Avenue and follow it until you reach the junction with the A1 highway. Take a left and continue cycling along the A1 for approximately 3 kilometers. Be cautious of traffic, as this road can be busy. As you approach Serrekunda, look for signs directing you to Bijilo National Park, which is located off the main road.

  • Public Transport (Mini-Bus)

    From the center of Banjul, walk to the bus station near the Albert Market. Look for a 'Banjul to Serrekunda' mini-bus. Board the bus and pay the fare (it’s usually very affordable). The bus will take you directly to Serrekunda, and you can ask the conductor to inform you when to get off at the stop closest to Bijilo National Park. Once you disembark, follow the signs to the park entrance, which is a short walk from the main road.
