Getting There

Walking
Start at the center of Farafenni near the main market. Head south on the main road until you reach the junction with the Banjul-Farafenni Highway. At the junction, turn left and continue walking along this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the bus station in Brikama. From there, ask locals for directions to Brikama Highway.

From the Brikama bus station, take a shared minibus heading towards Lamin or Banjul. Make sure to confirm that the bus will stop at or near Abuko Nature Reserve. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. You can ask the driver to drop you off at a point closest to the reserve entrance.

Once you are dropped off, follow the signs towards Abuko Nature Reserve. It should be approximately a 10-15 minute walk from where the bus drops you off. Look for signs or ask locals if you need additional guidance on the way.
