Car
If you have access to a car, begin your journey from the main town of Atauro Island, Betano. Drive towards the southern region of the island following the main road. Approximately 30 minutes into the drive, look for signs indicating the turn-off towards Cribas. The road may become less maintained as you approach the waterfall, so drive cautiously. Upon arrival at the indicated GPS coordinates 72X6+3VR, you will find a small parking area nearby.
Public Transportation
Using public transportation, head to the local transport hub in Betano, where you can catch a shared taxi or minibus heading towards Cribas. Inform the driver of your destination, Cribas Waterfall. The journey will take about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Cribas village, you may need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes to reach the waterfall as the minibus may not drop you off directly at the site.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Cribas village, you can walk to the waterfall from the village center. Head towards the direction of the waterfall using local paths. It is advisable to ask locals for the best route to ensure you stay on track. The walk may take around 30 minutes, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way.
