From the central area of Dili, start at the Presidential Palace (Palácio do Governo). Head east on Avenida de Portugal toward Avenida Governador de Dili. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Avenida de Lisboa. Turn right onto Avenida de Lisboa and continue for another 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the large statue of Cristo Rei in the distance. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida da Praia. Follow this road as it curves along the coast for approximately 1 kilometer until you see the Cristo Rei statue on your left, perched on a hill.

From the central market (Mercado Municipal), find the bus stop on Avenida de Portugal. Board a bus heading toward Cristo Rei. Ask the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to the statue. The bus ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, walk toward the hill where the Cristo Rei statue is located. Follow the signs and paths leading up to the statue, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.
