Upon reaching Atelari, look for local signs pointing towards Sa'a sika liu, which is located approximately 2 km from the main road. Be cautious as the road may be unpaved, and 4WD vehicles are recommended for the best experience.
Public Transportation
To reach Sa'a sika liu using public transportation, take a bus or shared taxi from the center of Matebian Mountain to Atelari. Once in Atelari, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'ojek') to take you to the exact location of Sa'a sika liu. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which may range from $3 to $5 depending on the distance and your bargaining skills. The final stretch to Sa'a sika liu is approximately 2 km from the main bus drop-off point.
Walking
For those who prefer a more adventurous route, you can walk from the main bus drop-off point in Atelari to Sa'a sika liu. The trek is about 2 km and will take roughly 30 minutes. Follow the trail signs and ask locals for directions if needed. This walk will give you a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, but be sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry water.
