Depending on your starting point in the Central Region, take the most convenient route to the R82. If you are near Cape Coast, simply follow the road signs that direct you to Kakum National Park. The park entrance is well-marked along the R82, and you can expect to see signs about 5 kilometers before you reach the park entrance. Parking is available at the park, but there may be a small fee, so bring some cash.

    To reach Kakum National Park using public transportation, first, make your way to the nearest bus terminal in Central Region, such as the one in Cape Coast. From there, you can catch a shared taxi or a bus that heads towards Elmina or Abrafo. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Kakum National Park junction. The fare will usually be around 2-3 GHS. Once you reach the junction, you will need to find a motorbike taxi (known as 'okada') or walk approximately 3 kilometers to the park entrance.
