If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Mount Agou Area. Head southeast on Route National 1 (RN1) towards Kpalimé. After approximately 20 km, take a left turn onto a smaller road heading towards Mont Agouyotode. Continue on this road for about 10 km, passing through some local villages. Keep an eye out for directional signs. You will arrive at the base of Mont Agouyotode, where you can park your car.
Public Transportation
To reach Mont Agouyotode using public transportation, find a local bus or shared taxi (often referred to as 'bush taxis') heading towards Kpalimé. Once you reach Kpalimé, you’ll need to switch to a smaller vehicle or taxi that goes towards Mont Agouyotode. The fare to Kpalimé is generally around 1,000-2,000 XOF (CFA francs). The fare from Kpalimé to Mont Agouyotode can vary, expect to pay approximately 1,500-3,000 XOF. Make sure to confirm your destination with the driver.
Hiking
For adventurous travelers, you can also hike to Mont Agouyotode from the nearest village. After reaching the base (via car or public transport), look for local trails leading up the mountain.
