Car
From Hunga, head south on the main road towards the Ha'atafu Beach area. Continue driving for approximately 15 kilometers. You will pass through the village of Kanokupolu. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Ha'atafu Beach. Once you see the signs, follow them for another 2 kilometers. The beach will be on your left side, with ample parking available nearby. There are no entry fees for the beach, making it an accessible destination.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transport, look for local buses that head towards the west coast of Tongatapu. You can catch a bus from the main bus terminal in Hunga. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Ha'atafu Beach. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes, and the fare is typically around 5 Tongan Paʻanga. Once you arrive at the designated stop for Ha'atafu Beach, you will need to walk approximately 200 meters to reach the beach entrance.
