Getting There

  • Car Rental

    If you have rented a car, start your journey from Neiafu, the main town in Vava'u. Head south on the main road (Hihifo Road) for about 15 kilometers. Follow the signs for Kapa Island which will take you onto the ferry. The ferry ride costs around 10 TOP (Tongan Paʻanga) per person and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kapa Island, follow the local roads for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach Kapa Beach. Look for signs indicating the beach on your left.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Kapa Beach via public transportation, start at Neiafu and board a local bus heading to Kapa Island. The bus fare is about 5 TOP per person. Inform the driver that you are going to Kapa Beach. The bus will take you directly to the ferry terminal. From there, you will need to purchase a ferry ticket (about 10 TOP per person) to cross to Kapa Island. Once you arrive on Kapa Island, you can either walk or take a local taxi for about 15 TOP to reach Kapa Beach, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the ferry terminal.

  • Taxi Service

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Neiafu to the ferry terminal. This will cost approximately 50 TOP. After reaching the ferry terminal, purchase your ferry ticket (10 TOP) to Kapa Island. Once you arrive, you can either walk or request the taxi driver to take you directly to Kapa Beach for an additional fee, usually around 15-20 TOP.
