Getting There

Car

If you're driving from Mayaro, start by heading northwest on the Mayaro Main Road (Route 23). Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Eastern Main Road (Route 2). Turn left onto the Eastern Main Road and follow the signs towards Blanchisseuse. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach Blanchisseuse. From there, follow the signs to the Avocat Waterfall, which is just a short drive away. Note that parking may be limited near the waterfall, so be prepared to walk a short distance.
Public Transportation

From Mayaro, you can take a taxi or a 'maxi taxi' (shared taxi) heading towards Port of Spain. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Blanchisseuse. This ride should cost around TT$20-30. Once you reach the junction, you can either hire a private taxi to take you to Avocat Waterfall (which may cost about TT$50-100) or wait for a local bus that goes towards Blanchisseuse. Be sure to confirm with the driver that they will be stopping near the waterfall. After arriving in Blanchisseuse, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Avocat Waterfall, which is a short walk from the main road.
