Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Port of Spain, head east on Independence Square towards the Queen's Park Savannah. Once you reach the Savannah, take a left onto the road that circles around it. Continue walking along the perimeter of the Savannah until you reach the intersection with St. Ann's Road. Turn right onto St. Ann's Road and keep walking straight for about 10 minutes. You will see the entrance to the Emperor Valley Zoo on your left, just after crossing Zoo Road.

  • Public Bus

    If you prefer to take a bus, locate a bus stop near you that services the route to St. Ann's. Board a bus going towards St. Ann's and tell the driver you wish to get off at the Zoo. The bus will take you along St. Ann's Road, and you will get off near the intersection with Zoo Road. From there, walk a short distance down Zoo Road, and you will find the entrance to the Emperor Valley Zoo.

  • Taxi

    You can also find a taxi (green plate taxi) in Port of Spain. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Emperor Valley Zoo, located on Zoo Road. The drivers are familiar with the area and will take you directly to the entrance of the zoo. Make sure to negotiate the fare before you start your journey or ask for the meter to be used.
