If you're driving from Tunis, take the A1 highway south towards Sfax. After approximately 2 hours, take the exit towards El Jem (N1). Continue on N1 for about 30 kilometers, following the signs for El Jem. Once you reach El Jem, follow Route Mahdia directly to the Amphitheater. There is parking available near the site, but be prepared to pay a small fee of around 2-5 TND for parking.

For those using public transport, start by taking a train from Tunis to Sfax. The train journey takes around 3 hours. Once you arrive in Sfax, transfer to a local bus (bus number 15) that goes directly to El Jem. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour and costs around 3 TND. Once you arrive at the El Jem bus station, the Amphitheater is a short 10-minute walk away. Follow the signs towards Route Mahdia.

An alternative public transport option is to take a CTN bus from Tunis to El Jem. Buses leave from the Tunis central bus station and take about 3.5 hours. The ticket costs approximately 10-15 TND. After arriving at the El Jem bus station, walk towards Route Mahdia, where the Amphitheater is located, which should take about 10 minutes.
