Getting there

Car

If you are driving from the town of Nefta, head northeast on Route Nationale 3 (RN3). Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Mides. Turn left onto the local road leading to Mides Oasis. Follow this road for approximately 10 kilometers. The oasis will be on your right as you approach the village of Midès. The total drive will take around 40 minutes, depending on traffic.

Public Transportation

To reach Mides Oasis using public transport, first, take a shared taxi (taxi collectif) from Nefta to Midès. These taxis typically leave from the main taxi station in Nefta. The fare is around 5 Tunisian Dinars and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Midès, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the oasis, which is well-signposted. Alternatively, you can ask locals for directions.

If you are already in the village of Midès, the Mides Oasis is within walking distance. Simply follow the signs towards the oasis, which is approximately 1 kilometer from the village center. The path is straightforward and offers scenic views along the way.
