Getting There

Car
If you are driving from central Aeolis, head east on the D-100 highway. Continue on the D-100 for approximately 50 kilometers. Take the exit towards Sarıyer and follow the signs to Rumeli Hisarı. After entering Sarıyer, follow Yahya Kemal Cd. directly to the fortress. There is limited parking available near the entrance, so be mindful of the parking regulations.

Public Transportation - Bus
From central Aeolis, take a bus heading to Sarıyer. Buses in this area are frequent, and the ride will take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Sarıyer, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) to Rumeli Fortress or take a local minibus (dolmuş) that goes in that direction. Make sure to have some Turkish Lira for the bus fare, which is typically around 20-30 TL.

If you prefer using the metro, you can take the M2 metro line from the nearest metro station in Aeolis to Levent station.
