Once in Maçka, follow the signs to Altındere Valley National Park. The road will lead you directly to the entrance of the park. From Trabzon city center, you can take a minibus (dolmuş) heading to Maçka. The ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Maçka, you will need to transfer to another dolmuş that goes to Altındere Valley National Park. This second leg of the journey is about 15 minutes. Ensure to inform the driver that you are going to Sümela Monastery to avoid any confusion. The total fare for both buses is usually around 20-30 Turkish Lira.
