There is a parking area available near the entrance to Sümela Monastery. Please note that there may be a small parking fee, which can vary depending on the season.

From Trabzon city center, you can take a minibus (dolmuş) heading to Maçka. The ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Maçka, you will need to transfer to another dolmuş that goes to Altındere Valley National Park. This second leg of the journey is about 15 minutes. Ensure to inform the driver that you are going to Sümela Monastery to avoid any confusion. The total fare for both buses is usually around 20-30 Turkish Lira.

After arriving at the park entrance (whether by car or dolmuş), you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km uphill to reach Sümela Monastery.
